Emily Stoddart is a Canadian artist, researcher and cultural producer based in New York City. She is the founder and director of CART, a not-for-profit arts organization dedicated to supporting Canadian artists who live and work trans-nationally. She has produced exhibitions and public programming in conjunction with the Armory Fair (NY); Feature Art Fair (Toronto), Frieze New York, as well as with galleries, cultural spaces, and artist-run centres in both New York City and Canada. Currently, Emily is the manager of exhibitions and public programs at Scandinavia House, New York, where she has organized exhibitions in partnership with Ateneum, Finnish National Gallery; Munchmuseet, Oslo; The Phillips Collection, Washington, D.C.; and various independent curators and gallerists in the Nordic countries. Emily has previously worked at Creative Capital, and has taught classes on foundational painting and drawing, as well as exhibition production and planning, at Sarah Lawrence College, and OCAD University. She holds an MFA in studio arts from Hunter College, City University of New York.
